The beautiful goddess Alamelu Manga dances …… as her Lord Venkateshwara admires ………

A popular kuchipudi dance performed to ‘Alarulu Kuriyaga’, kriti by Saint Annamacharya in raga Shankarabharnam, set to Adi Talam, describing the dance of Alamelu Manga, the beautiful consort of Lord Venkateswara. As she playfully dances and sings, other dancers watch in awe, while Lord Venkateswara surreptitiously admires her twirls and grace.

This dance by Manaswini Avvari, Vedya Spurthi Konda and  Aparna Satheesan is performed to Alarulu Kuriyaga, arranged by Nagaari and Kamaladeepthi Vempati with minimal instrumentation. A small chittaswaram has been added at the end and used to depict Alamelu Manga dancing.
