Thumri : The text is romantic or devotional in nature, and usually revolves around a girl’s love for Krishna. The lyrics are usually in Uttar Pradesh dialects of Hindi called Awadhi and Brij Bhasha. Thumri is characterized by its sensuality, and by a greater flexibility with the raag.

“Naadha Bramma”Pandit Sree Kakunoori Jangaiah” (Blind) was an Indian Vocalist from Hyderabad in the Hindustani classical tradition. He is known for the “Khayal” form of singing, as well as for his popular renditions of devotional music.

“Pandit.Sree.Kakunoori Janagaiah” was awarded “Kinnera” in 1988, the highest honour conferred by “Nrithyakinnera Music Academy”, India’s National Academy for Music, Dance and Drama. Subsequently, he received the “SWARANJALI”, India’s highest honour, in 1995. He made a career in Hindustani classical music, devotional music, patriotic music and playback singing.

Also he was a Renowned (Hindustani) “Classical Vocalist” at “All India Radio” and “Doordarshan”

“Legendary Music Maestro”Kakunoori Jangaiah” was known for his powerful voice, amazing breath control, fine musical sensibility and unwavering grasp of the fundamentals. “Guruji.Pandit.Sree.Kakunoori Jangaiah” first performed live in 1962 at the age 18. His debut album, containing a few devotional songs in Hindi, was released in 1974
