Here’s an original synth oriented piece performed and recorded completely live in one take using the following gear:

Bass: Moog Sub 37
Drums: Roland TR-8
Polysynths: Oberheim Matrix 1000 & Waldorf Streichfett
Lead: Korg ARP Odyssey

  1. This video simultaneously makes me more excited to be receiving an Odyssey and slightly regretful that it isn't a Matrix 1000. I'm digging your work, Mike, even if this one is from a branch of electronic music I'm not as accustomed to.
    How was the Sub 37 sequenced? It and the TR8 were impeccably synced up.

  3. really great stuff. youre an inspiration. you bring to light for me, and im sure many other musicians, how approachable making electronic music can be for musicians who are more used to the usually live music/analog styles of rock, jazz, etc. thanks for what you do, please keep it up

  4. Sounds great, Mike… really awesome performance. I did a track years ago on some vintage equipment that is very reminiscent of this, with the same lead riff, although I had to sequence the damn thing! Great playing (and timing)!
