“This famous hymn by Horatio Spafford is one of my favorites during dark times and trials. The original text reminds us to keep our heads held up and look to God, no matter what get’s thrown in our path. Spafford’s own life was riddled with tragedy over the course of 2 years, first losing nearly all of his property in The Great Chicago Fire in 1871, then later that year losing his 4-year-old son to scarlet fever, and 2 years later losing all 4 of his daughters to a mid-Atlantic ship wreck.

During this time of crisis around the world, we should all remember that we are not alone during these hardships, take a little comfort in the joy that music can bring us, and extend a friendly and helping hand to those around us most in need.”

  1. I adore this arrangement. Bought the sheet music about 3 months ago, but made the mistake of starting on your version of No Time To Die first, instead of this. Anyway, 3 months on, I STILL can't play the runs in NTTD perfectly 😀 😀 Starting this one now for a bit of a break…
Thanks for keeping the arrangement (relatively) simple, as there's a fighting chance I'll actually get through it!

  2. Wow…Staffords life, sounds like that of JOB…I thought I had it rough, this man really had it rough…thx for sharing..keep your head up, during your house hunting ventures..Pray on it, and something nice will present itself…God bless you SIr Charles…lovely song…thx

  3. How cool, you can hear the demperpadel lifting! amazing sampling, composing and playing! Do i hear a flowing stream (river) in the begin and end of the song? I sang that song a few times for people in church, really beautiful, and comforting. Today i have a funeral, just the right music for my soul. Thanks Charles.

  4. The audio editing and mix are amazing and complement the arrangement really well. Especially the passage around 4:57 you can hear perfectly the rich bass. Amazing with headphones.

  5. To be honest I'm really anxious and scared about the things that are happening. But your music shines light and hope to my family and the frontliners in my country.

One of the Nurses said. "It's really soothing to listen to this as I remember the good days." As she said, your music makes me think that there will be sunshine after the rain. You are truly an amazing person.

On behalf of the people who listen to you in the Philippines. Salamat po. ❤️

  6. You're well, I'm fine.
With your piano playing, warm everyone's heart and accompany you through extraordinary times.
May everyone be safe and healthy!

  7. What a charming melody!, it reminds me of the harmonies of some other lovely melodies…
This is delicious… I just can´t stop listening… no words!, just my ears wide open and my heart enjoying… everything perfect, included the name of the song… thanks for this. 👍
