Scott Tibbs from Roland plays the JD-XA synthesizer at Kraft Music.

The Roland JD-XA Analog/Digital Crossover Synthesizer is an advanced instrument with separate analog and digital sound engines that can be used independently or interactively. The discrete analog section features four parts with true analog filters, plus plenty of knobs and sliders. The JD-XA’s digital section is built around Roland’s SuperNATURAL synth engine and features four parts and 64 voices. A 16-track pattern sequencer gives you the ability to quickly create patterns and loops, while USB, MIDI, and CV/GATE connections allow for flexible control routing and functionality. The JD-XA’s microphone input provides access to classic Vocoder tones as well as mic-controlled modulation.
